They are simply the best! Good customer service, cognisant of the need for sensitivity and confidentiality and very friendly. I used to do my tests with another facility but now I’m a repeat client at Epicentre and the best part is that they take walk-ins. I needed to do a lot of tests and screenings two weeks ago, the results were delivered earlier than promised and yesterday, I went back for other tests. Please check them out, you won’t regret it! They are currently doing a Cough Check tor free, I already did mine.
This is a really great place to get any kind of pathology work done. The staff are very kind and efficient and the discounted prices of the tests are an added bonus. I would highly recommend this centre.
My experience getting blood tests at the Epicentre has been excellent as the staff are all very friendly and professionally. The staff are well trained at taking blood painlessly and if they feel they can’t find the vain they will find a more senior staff member to do it. As someone with difficult collapsed veins i never worry about becoming a pin cushion at Epicentre.
The people here are so friendly and helpful. My blood was taken quickly efficiently and painlessly and my results were recieved a day later via email. I give them a five star rating.
What Test Is In The HPV Screening Package?
Human Papillomavirus Infection (HPV) Test
A HPV test is a test that can detect an active HPV infection. This easy and painless test detects the presence of HPV, the virus that causes cervical cancer, in your system. Certain types of HPV — including types 16 and 18 — increase your cervical cancer risk. Please note that this test looks for the HPV virus and not cancer in your body.
Additional tests
This test looks for candidiasis, Trichomonas vaginalis, and bacterial infections (including gonorrhoea).
This package looks at syphilis, chlamydia, HIV, and herpes.
The HPV Screening Package Procedure
At Epicentre, we offer self collection testing:
1. You will be given a long cotton swab. You will then be given the chance to wash your hands and be taken to a private space.
2. Once you are alone, take the cotton swab firmly in your hand and twist it out of its case.
3. Now insert the swab only a few centimeters into your vagina and rotate it for 20 to 30 seconds.
4. Put the cotton back into its plastic case and into its provided plastic packet.
5. We will take the sample for testing, and you will get a notification that your result has been uploaded to our website app.
