VMMC Demand Creators

Epicentre is looking for skilled multi-racial VMMC (Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision) Demand Creation Fieldworkers in the Ugu & uMgungundlovu districts to undertake a variety of day-to-day Fieldworker duties. You will be an essential part in ensuring that our field operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting the project goals and meeting targets. You will be expected to create, support, and sustain a demand for VMMC by visiting the community, schools, workplaces, universities and conducting presentations and referrals on VMMC.

Education Requirements

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Science or Public Health will be an advantage.

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge or experience about Male Circumcision and prevention of HIV.

Skills required

  • Proficient in M.S. Excel and M.S. Word, internet, email (testing will be conducted!)
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including delivery of captivating presentations in front of a large group of people
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to pays great attention to detail
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
  • A valid driver’s license will be an advantage
  • Bubbly, outgoing, enthusiastic personality with a friendly and positive disposition with a professional demeanor.
  • A passion and belief in Circumcision and it’s health benefits.

Previous experience needed

  • Previous experience in the research field
  • Previous experience in an NGO environment will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in VMMC will be an added advantage
