Brassicas (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts), nightshades (potato, tomato, eggplant), root vegetables (carrot, parsnip, sweet potato, beetroot), alliums (onion, garlic, leek, shallot) and leafy greens (spinach, chard, watercress, rocket). Many people do not suspect vegetables, but nightshades and brassicas are common sources of sensitivity.
Other
10 antigensYeast (baker's and brewer's), honey, cane sugar, hops, agar agar, M-Transglutaminase (meat glue, used as a food binder), Aspergillus niger (a common food fungus), elderflower, and Cross-reactive Carbohydrate Determinants (a marker that helps differentiate true food reactivity from cross-reactivity). Yeast reactivity in particular is significant: bread, beer, wine and many fermented foods all contain it.
Each antigen returns a numeric IgG reactivity value mapped to a colour-coded grade in your report. The Cross-reactive Carbohydrate Determinants (CCD) marker in the Other category is a useful internal control: it helps distinguish a true food sensitivity from a false positive driven by cross-reactivity with plant sugars.
When food sensitivity testing helps
Food sensitivities cause delayed reactions (hours to days after eating) rather than the immediate response of a food allergy. The symptoms are often non-specific, which makes them hard to pin down without testing.
