In short. Epicentre offers 13 home test kits in South Africa, from R890 for HPV screening to R5,950 for the Gut Deep Dive. Each kit is delivered in a plain courier bag, or collected from a branch or a pickup point. You take a swab, urine or stool sample at home and we collect it from your door for laboratory PCR analysis, the same analysis used on walk-in samples. PCR results take 5 to 7 working days and gut health panels 14 working days. No doctor’s referral is needed. Blood tests can’t be done from a home kit and need a walk-in visit or a nurse call-out.

What happens after you test
| Tested for | Result |
|---|---|
| Chlamydia trachomatis | Not detected |
| Neisseria gonorrhoeae | Not detected |
| Mycoplasma genitalium | Detected |
Your report starts with a summary of anything detected, explains each result in plain language, and suggests the next step. Your doctor can use it too.

Questions before you order, or about a result? Message us on WhatsApp and a nurse will help. If a result needs treatment, we’ll point you to your own doctor or a doctor we work with.
Samples are analysed by SANAS-accredited partner laboratories. Epicentre has been testing South Africans since 2001.
Over 65? UTIs become more common with age because of immune changes and, in women, lower oestrogen after menopause. The UTI test (R1,609, or R1,448 with the pensioner discount) finds the exact cause, so treatment targets the right organism. Prefer a walk-in? Every home kit test is also available at our branches in Durban (Hillcrest), Cape Town (Observatory) and Johannesburg (Parktown North). Book a walk-in
