Your blood results,
decoded. Optimised.
Unlike conventional lab reports that flag disease, Functional Health Report uses optimal ranges to identify health imbalances before they become a problem, giving you a comprehensive, functional view of your biology.

Beyond "normal".
Toward optimal.
Your Functional Health Report is produced using Optimal DX, a functional blood chemistry analysis platform used by functional medicine practitioners in 84 countries. It takes the results of your standard blood panel and compares each biomarker against evidence-based optimal ranges. Those ranges are narrower than standard laboratory reference ranges, so a result sitting inside the laboratory's normal range can still fall outside the optimal range. Where a conventional report flags only normal against abnormal, this shows you where your health sits on the full spectrum.
Optimal DX is an educational tool for health professionals: it does not diagnose and it does not replace clinical judgement. Your standard pathology report comes with it, which is the one your own doctor will recognise.
Using Epicentre's tests and Functional Health Reports, you can identify imbalances early, receive personalised insights, and take proactive steps toward genuine wellbeing, not just the absence of disease.
How to read your Functional Health Report
Every marker is plotted on a colour band, so you see at a glance where you sit, not just whether you have been flagged. Start with the yellow and red markers.
The marker sits where it does in healthy people. No action needed, keep doing what you are doing.
Drifting from optimal. Often improved with diet, lifestyle or targeted support before it becomes a problem.
Outside the optimal range and worth discussing with a doctor or health coach.
A result can read normal on a standard lab report but still show yellow here, because optimal ranges are narrower than disease ranges. That early signal is the whole point of a functional report.
