Blood sugar and metabolism

Every result comes with a Functional Health Report
With your results you receive a Functional Health Report, produced using Optimal DX. Optimal DX is a functional blood chemistry analysis platform used by functional medicine practitioners in 84 countries. It takes your standard blood panel and compares each biomarker against evidence-based optimal ranges. Those ranges are narrower than standard laboratory reference ranges, so a result sitting inside the laboratory's normal range can still fall outside the optimal range. That is what lets you see where your health sits on the full spectrum, catch imbalances early and track how your numbers move over time.
The Functional Health Report is included with every non-infection lab test at Epicentre. Sexual health, gut health and parasite tests come with their own specialist reports instead.

What this does not do
A broad panel is a snapshot. It flags areas to look at; it does not diagnose disease on its own.
- Results are a screen, not a diagnosis; values outside range need follow-up with a doctor.
- Reference ranges vary; read your results with a clinician who knows your history.
- A normal panel does not rule out every condition; some problems need other tests.
- Several markers are affected by fasting; results assume you fasted as advised.
