What's tested

What does the panel measure?

A urea, electrolytes and creatinine panel that reads kidney function and your salt balance in one go. From one blood draw.

What this tells you: creatinine and urea reflect how well your kidneys are filtering, while the electrolytes show your salt balance. Together they give a clear read on kidney function, which is useful on long-term medication or as a baseline.

Kidney function and electrolytes

U&E and Creatinine. Urea, Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate and Creatinine: how well your kidneys are filtering and how your salt balance sits.

What you get back

Your results come with an ODx report

With this panel you also receive an ODx Functional Health Report, which reads your results against optimal ranges, not just disease ranges, so you can spot imbalances early and track them over time.

The staff at reception as well as the nurses are friendly and professional. I've also always received results timeously. I would give 10 stars if I could.

What this does not do

This is a focused screen of kidney function. It is a starting point for a conversation with your doctor, not a diagnosis on its own.

  • It does not diagnose any condition on its own; unusual results are followed up with your doctor.
  • A urine test and other markers may be needed for a fuller picture; your doctor will advise.
  • Results can be affected by hydration and recent food, so they are read in context.
  • Results are meant to inform a discussion with a registered practitioner.
