What's tested

What does the Comprehensive panel measure?

Cortisol read alongside every system chronic stress disrupts, grouped so you can see the whole picture at a glance. All from one morning, fasted blood draw.

Why the timing matters: cortisol follows a daily (circadian) rhythm. It is highest in the first hour after waking and falls to its lowest around midnight, so a morning fasted sample is the standard reference point. That is why this panel is best taken first thing.

Stress and adrenal hormones

Cortisol (morning fasting), DHEA-S, Testosterone (Total). The core stress read: cortisol with the hormones it suppresses when it runs high for too long.

Thyroid

TSH, Free T4, Free T3. Cortisol blunts the conversion to active thyroid hormone, so we check the full thyroid picture rather than TSH alone.

Blood sugar and insulin

Fasting Glucose, HbA1c, Fasting Insulin. Cortisol pushes blood sugar up; these show whether stress has started to shift your metabolism.

Inflammation

CRP, Homocysteine. Markers of the low-grade inflammation that chronic stress quietly drives.

Nutrients stress depletes

Magnesium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Zinc. The nutrients stress burns through fastest, and which deepen the stress cycle when they run low.

Metabolic and blood health

Lipogram, Liver Function (LFT), Full Blood Count (FBC). Your cholesterol pattern, liver load and a full blood count to round out the picture.

Book a morning slot

Reserve a morning time at your branch, or walk in. No doctor's referral. Come fasted.

2

Quick blood draw

A nurse takes a small sample, just a few minutes. Morning and fasted gives the truest cortisol read.

When this helps

Who is this panel for?

Most useful if you have been under sustained pressure and want to see whether it is showing up in your body.

Burnout or chronic stress

Months of deadlines, pressure or caregiving, and you want to know the toll it is taking.

Tired but wired

Exhausted through the day yet unable to switch off or sleep properly at night.

Brain fog and low mood

Foggy thinking, a flatter mood or a shorter fuse than usual.

Stalled recovery

Training or eating well but not recovering, with stubborn weight around the middle.

Low energy or libido

Persistent fatigue, or a drop in drive and motivation you cannot explain.

A functional baseline

You want the full cortisol-and-cascade picture to work from with a practitioner.

The staff at reception as well as the nurses are friendly and professional. I've also always received results timeously. I would give 10 stars if I could.

What this panel does not do

This is a screen that shows whether stress is leaving a measurable mark on your body. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a diagnosis.

  • A single morning cortisol is a snapshot, not a full day's rhythm or a saliva curve.
  • It does not diagnose conditions such as Cushing's or Addison's on its own; unusual results are followed up with your doctor.
  • It does not measure or diagnose a mental-health condition; it looks at the physical systems stress affects.
  • Results are meant to inform a discussion with a registered practitioner who can read them alongside your history.

Yes. This panel requires fasting, and the cortisol sample is best taken in the morning. Come in the morning after an overnight fast. Water is fine, and keep to your usual medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Cortisol follows a daily rhythm and is highest in the early morning. A morning fasting sample is the standard reference point, so it gives the most meaningful read of your stress response.
