How the Partnership Works

Get tested at Epicentre Observatory

Walk in or book online at Epicentre's Observatory lab (24 Lower Main Road – a short drive from Sea Point). No doctor's referral needed. Choose from 63+ packages.

Receive your results

Results via email in 2 – 7 working days. Two reports: a plain-language ODx summary (colour-coded) plus a standard lab report.

Review and decide

If markers need attention, you can choose to see MyFamilyGP or any doctor of your choosing. You are never obligated to use a partner.

Book with MyFamilyGP directly

Call 021 439 6060 to schedule a consultation. Epicentre provides a referral letter. Your results are shared only with your written consent.

Payment and Medical Aid

MyFamilyGP operates as a private practice, requiring payment at the time of consultation. They provide a detailed invoice with ICD-10 and procedure codes for you to submit to your medical aid for reimbursement. For specialised services such as gender-affirming care, check with your medical aid beforehand regarding pre-authorisation.
