Epicentre is now looking for social media ambassadors for our NCAS research project. Help us embark on our next exciting instalment as we reach out to suburban communities around South Africa. Join our team and help your country fight back in the war on COVID-19!

Epicentre is looking for social media ambassadors who are:

• We are looking for bubbly social media experts who are

  comfortable using and creating content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and more!

• They need to be comfortable calling people in high walled communities (suburbs like Ballito) and convincing them to take part in our survey.
  • Therefore, sales experience is a plus!
• We are looking for someone that is easy to talk to but is also able to be quite convincing
  • As unfortunately many people are unwilling to help in this important study
• They need to be a ‘people person’ who likes to work as part of a team
  • They need to be able to work both independently but also be flexible enough to collaborate with others
• As there are going to be many homes we are focusing on we are looking to hire someone who is detail orientated
  • They need to be capable of working through and completing a list rather than working out of their head
• Due to the nature of the COVID-19 pandemic they will also have to be comfortable working from the office unless under emergency situations.
  • Please note that we do take all necessary precautions and that you will be provided with safety equipment

• These two projects are COVID-19 antibody studies.
• This means that we will be helping South Africans understand how many people caught COVID-19 and if they have protection from catching the infection again.

These two national COVID prevalence studies will work with:

1. The National Institute for Communicable Diseases in South Africa (NICD)
2. Human Sciences Research Council of South Africa (HSRC)

These projects will start in September and end late February. However, there will be more opportunity to continue working with us in after the end of the project based on how well you work with the Epicentre team.

• We have positions available in
  • Hillcrest KZN
• You will mainly be working out of our Hillcrest Office in KZN, but they may be required to go with our team leader to present flyers and other materials to home-owners

• Working days will likely be Sunday to Thursday

  • Off days are Friday to Saturday
• Working hours will be from 8am to 4:30pm
• Leave is calculated according to the BCEA
• We already have the names and numbers of those we will be contacting
  • You will be using these lists to contact and educate these community members and convince them to take part in the study
