The Measles Test Package Explained

This test uses a cotton swab lightly rubbed against a skin rash to detect measles virus. This swab is then sent to the laboratory in a viral transport medium for further viral cell culture and virus identification.

Coming in for this package is easy. You can book a test on our site or just come through to one of our Drive-Thru testing centres.
Due to measles being highly infective, please stay in your car and call into our branch. Our nurse will come to your car and test you.
Your results will then send through your results to your email within 48-72hrs.

Getting the measles test is also helpful if you have been exposed to someone who has measles or if you are travelling to a region where measles are common. The test can help you determine your immunity status and whether you need a vaccine or immune globulin to prevent infection.
When Should You Get the Measles Test Package?
This test is most successful at testing for this virus when they get tested within 3 days of getting the rash; but, a person should get the test within 7 days of getting the rash, and not more than 10 days, after the rash appearers.

Come in at any time that is convenient to you between 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
