These are damage markers, not a screen for heart-disease risk, and they are never a substitute for emergency care.

- These markers reflect recent tissue damage; a normal result does not rule out heart disease, blocked arteries or future risk.
- They are not a screening tool for long-term cardiovascular risk; for that, ask about the Cardio Plus Screen.
- Results must be interpreted by a doctor alongside your symptoms, history and an ECG where needed.
- Several markers also rise with muscle or liver strain, so they are not specific to the heart on their own.
