2023 is Here: So What’s First on Our Awareness List?

At Beat the Bugs Club, our goal is to raise health awareness. In this issue, we will focus on sun protection, including sunscreen and SPF, and the importance of preventing skin cancer. We will also delve into HPV and cervical cancer, discussing the symptoms to watch for and the importance of early detection.

We are also proud to feature a familiar face who has personally faced this issue and now advocates for empowering women who are going through a similar experience. Join us as we strive to educate and empower individuals to take control of their health.

Skin cancer is a risk for everyone, but it is an even bigger risk in Summer, when the sun is up close and personal with us (CANSA). Going to the beach to cool off is so exciting that we almost forget about the one thing we can’t live without, Sunscreen!

January is also the month of World Braille Day (4th) and World Leprosy Day (29th). We will also briefly be talking about these two days, their significance and how we can raise awareness in the course of this issue.
