Transform your blood-test results into clear, actionable insights
Wondering what your lab results actually mean? At Epicentre, your test doesn’t just give numbers — it comes with an ODx Functional Health Report that interprets your biomarkers within optimal ranges and shows you what steps you can take next (not just “normal/abnormal”).

How To Use Our Patient-Friendly Results
Steps To Get An Optimal Dx Report With Epicentre
1. Book a Test
First, choose where you’d like to test:
- Visit one of our walk-in labs (Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg)
We’ll guide you through the simple booking process — fast, secure, and no referral needed.
2. Provide Your Sample
At our lab or at home, you’ll collect the sample you need (blood, urine, swab or stool, depending on the test package). Your sample is processed in our accredited lab using validated methods and QA/QC systems to ensure accuracy.
3. Analysis & ODx Report Generation
Once your results are in the lab:
- Your biomarkers are run through Epicentre’s ODx algorithm, which maps results against “optimal ranges” rather than only “normal vs. abnormal”.
- The output is a colour-coded, easy-read report that shows you which physiological systems are functioning well, which are borderline, and where you may need intervention.
- You receive : the raw results + ODx interpretation + practitioner-ready summary + lifestyle/nutrient support suggestions.
4. Receive & Review Your Report
Having your report is just the start; the real value comes when you act:
- Address flagged systems (diet, lifestyle, supplementation, doctor follow-up)
- Retest annually (or as advised) to measure improvement and refine your plan
- Use the ODx colour-coded visuals to track progress and motivate health changes
5. Take Action & Track Your Progress
You’ll receive your report securely via email or WhatsApp (or both), typically within days.
The report is designed for you to understand, not just your doctor. It highlights:
- Systems under stress (metabolic, hormonal, immune)
- Key nutrient deficiencies
- Trends over time (if you’ve tested previously)
- Clear next-step suggestions: what to optimise now, what to monitor later
Why the ODx Report Makes a Difference
Ordinary lab reports typically only display reference ranges. ODx utilises optimal ranges to detect early imbalances before they develop into a disease. The visual layout and clear explanation reduce confusion and support better decision-making. Because your test is processed in the same rigorous lab environment as all our diagnostics, you get both scientific reliability and practical clarity.
