Our Kidney Package Explained

What are the tests in the Kidney Package?
Your kidneys play a crucial role in maintaining overall health by filtering waste and toxins from the blood, balancing electrolytes, regulating fluid levels, and supporting blood pressure control. When kidney function is impaired, waste can build up in the body, leading to fatigue, swelling, high blood pressure, and other health complications. Early detection of kidney issues is essential to prevent long-term damage and manage conditions such as chronic kidney disease (CKD), dehydration, and electrolyte imbalances.
Our Kidney Package provides a comprehensive evaluation of kidney health by measuring waste filtration efficiency and electrolyte balance. This test is ideal for those with a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, frequent UTIs, or those taking medications that may impact kidney function. Identifying issues early allows for better management, lifestyle adjustments, and medical intervention if needed, helping to protect and preserve kidney function.
Please note that our packages are just a guide, you can pick any of these tests, add extra tests or take out any test. Choose what suits your needs!

Urea & Electrolytes and Creatinine (U & E and Creatinine)
A U & E and Creatinine are usually performed to confirm normal kidney function or to exclude a serious imbalance of biochemical salts in the bloodstream. A diverse number of conditions may be detected on the U and E test, as each parameter tested may be high or low.
Additional Tests On Request
Urinalysis / Urine Culture (MCS)
A urinalysis is a simple test that looks at a small sample of your urine. It can help find problems that need treatment, including infections or kidney problems. It can also help find serious diseases in the early stages, like kidney disease, diabetes, or liver disease.
An albumin blood test gives important information on your liver and kidney function. Albumin is a protein that is found in your blood plasma. Low albumin levels suggest an increased risk of kidney disease, liver disease, inflammation or infections.
This test checks the amount of normal waste products in the bloodstream. This is useful for diagnosing kidney stones. Decreased uric acid levels may decrease kidney function (filtration).
