What does the screen cover?
Fourteen targets by PCR covering the common sexually transmitted infections and the related organisms worth checking, all from a self-collected swab and urine sample.
Common STIs
Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Mycoplasma genitalium, Haemophilus ducreyi, HSV. The sexually transmitted infections most worth ruling in or out, including chlamydia, gonorrhoea, trichomonas, chancroid and herpes.
Related organisms
Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Enterococcus aureus, Gardnerella vaginalis, Atopobium vaginae, Streptococcus agalactiae, Prevotella bivia, Candida spp. Mycoplasma and ureaplasma, plus other bacteria and yeast that can be involved in symptoms.
